About Us

Heart of Grace Foundation is a federally incorporated Canadian non-profit organization committed to relieving poverty, advancing education, and improving the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.

At the core of our work is Maison de Grâce (House of Grace), a residential care program located in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Through this program, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned and vulnerable children who lack access to basic necessities.

Our approach is holistic. We do not simply provide shelter — we build stability, dignity, and opportunity. All programs are directed and overseen by our Canadian Board of Directors, ensuring accountability, transparency, and compliance with international standards.

Maison de Grâce / House of Grace

Our primary program provides a safe, stable home for orphaned and vulnerable children in Kinshasa. Located at 31 Bis Avenue Wasalusu, Commune de Mont Ngafula, Maison de Grâce offers full-time care and supervision, daily meals and clothing, emotional support, and structured routines that give children stability and a sense of belonging.

Educational Support for Vulnerable Children

We believe education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. The Foundation covers school fees, uniforms, and educational supplies for children in our care, ensuring that financial barriers never stand between a child and their future. OUR FOUNDER

A Vision Born from Purpose

Laetitia Mukala is a healthcare professional and Director of Care based in Ottawa, Canada. With a deep commitment to service and community impact, she founded Heart of Grace Foundation to address the urgent needs of vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Drawing on her experience in healthcare leadership and her passion for humanitarian work, Laetitia leads the Foundation with a focus on compassion, accountability, and long-term impact. Under her direction, the Foundation has established Maison de Grâce as a beacon of hope in Kinshasa — providing children with the stability, care, and opportunity they deserve.

The Foundation operates under the oversight of a Canadian Board of Directors, ensuring full transparency, accountability, and compliance with international standards — a reflection of Laetitia's unwavering commitment to integrity in all that she does.
