A Canadian non-profit providing safe housing, education, and healthcare to orphaned and vulnerable children in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Heart of Grace Foundation is a federally incorporated Canadian non-profit organization committed to relieving poverty, advancing education, and improving the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.
At the core of our work is Maison de Grâce (House of Grace), a residential care program located in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Through this program, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned and vulnerable children who lack access to basic necessities.
Our approach is holistic. We do not simply provide shelter — we build stability, dignity, and opportunity. All programs are directed and overseen by our Canadian Board of Directors, ensuring accountability, transparency, and compliance with international standards.
"We believe that every child deserves not only to survive — but to thrive."
To relieve poverty and improve the lives of vulnerable children and families by providing essential care, education, and opportunities for long-term stability.
A world where every child has access to safe shelter, quality education, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We serve with empathy, dignity, and love.
We operate with transparency and accountability.
We ensure every resource is used responsibly for maximum impact.
We equip individuals with the tools to build a better future.
We are guided by values of service, resilience, and purpose.
Four interconnected programs designed to address the holistic needs of vulnerable children — from shelter and nutrition to education, health, and future opportunity.
Our primary program provides a safe, stable home for orphaned and vulnerable children in Kinshasa. Located at 31 Bis Avenue Wasalusu, Commune de Mont Ngafula, Maison de Grâce offers full-time care and supervision, daily meals and clothing, emotional support, and structured routines that give children stability and a sense of belonging.
We believe education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. The Foundation covers school fees, uniforms, and educational supplies for children in our care, ensuring that financial barriers never stand between a child and their future. Academic mentoring and support help every child succeed.
The Foundation facilitates access to medical care for children residing in Maison de Grâce. We support preventative health needs, routine medical check-ups, and child wellness services. Our goal is to help every child in our care grow up healthy, protected, and supported.
We aim to equip older children and youth with practical skills, confidence, and preparation for independent living. Through vocational exposure, mentorship, and life-skills support, we help build a foundation for long-term dignity and self-sufficiency.
We operate with full financial oversight and accountability, ensuring that resources are used effectively to create meaningful, lasting change. Every dollar you give goes directly to the children and families who need it most.
